Website/Copyright

Why do you have the copyright text written on your pictures?
Because some people have no imagination and cannot make things themselves, and instead of asking kindly to borrow other people's work they just steal it. Some even put other people's pictures on merchandise that they try to sell. This has happened to me a bunch of times, and it really makes me cranky, especially since I make very little money from my pictures myself. It is also completely illegal. I know that some people find the copyright text really annoying, but that's simply the price you have to pay to look at my stuff. Sorry.

...Then how may I use your pictures without breaking the law and pissing you off?

Make sure to give me credit and a link on the very page the picture/s is used on, and do not edit the picture/s in any way besides resizing.

Tags, signatures, stationary or the like are allowed as long as you abide to the rules above, but do not make user icons or tubes from them.

May I link to your site?

Of course! Banners can be found on the links page. Thank you!

Do you do link exchanges?
No, I would never link to a site for any other reason that liking what is on it.

Do you use models for your drawings?
Usually I just draw from my head, but I use reference photos when I draw portraits and sometimes when I'm working on particularly tricky poses.

How long does it take you to draw a picture?

Normally between 30 minutes to four hours.

Can you draw me a picture?

Maybe, if you pay me. Depends on what you want though. Look in the purchase section for more info.

Can I use one of your pictures for a tattoo?

Absolutely. I love it when people get my pictures tattooed. Make sure to send me a photo of the finished piece!

Where/how did you learn to draw?

I am pretty much self taught, I've only taken the usual art classes in school.

Do you have your originals displayed anywhere?
Check out the News page for current exhibitions! If you have any suggestions for exhibitions etc, please let me know! I'm always interested in showing my art.

You removed an old picture that I really liked! Why, you bastard, WHY!? Will you put it back up?

If I simply don't like a picture any more, of if I feel that it no longer fairly represents what I do I might take it down. I've uploaded most of my old drawings to my Flickr account though, so go there if you are missing something. If you can't find it there, drop me a line, if I still have it on my computer I'll email it to you.

How do you get your colours so vivid/shading so smooth/shiny bits so shiny, etc?

I don't know, I just do it. I really cannot answer any technical questions about my art. It all comes pretty much naturally to me and a lot of the time I don't even understand what it is people want me to explain. Sorry!

Have you ever thought of illustrating/writing a children's book?

Yes. I have actually started making a bunch of them but I never finish them. I do plan to finish at least one though. I'd love to illustrate other people's books as well, I'm just waiting for an offer.

Do you alter your photos in the computer?

Yes, maybe 70% of the time. I alter the colours and contrast mostly, and sometimes I do more advanced stuff like collages and different manipulations.

What camera do you use?
My digital camera is a Konica Minolta Dimage z3. My other one is umm.. Some other Minolta... A black one. Nothing too fancy.

Can I buy prints of your photos?
Yes, some of my photos are offered as prints here via DeviantArt.

Where do you get the wings in your faerie photos?
I make them out of wire and nylon pantyhose. I sell some of them on my art site. There are also plenty of online wing making tutorials for you crafty people, here's one for instance.

Who are the people in your photos?
Mostly friends of mine.

Can I model for you?
No, sorry. I prefer photographing people I know.

Where do you get the clothes in the photos?
They either belong to me or the models. I buy them from fleamarkets, thrift shops, eBay and on sale in regular stores.

Personal

What inspires you?

Pretty much everything. Interesting people, moods, nature, movies, books, songs, sounds and words.

Favorite artists?

Brian Froud
, Arthur Rackham, Hans Arnold, John Bauer, Natalia Pierandrei and my partner in crime Johanna Öst are some of my favourites. More artists I like are linked on the links page.

Do you have a "real" job?

If this doesn't count as a real job, then no.

How can you afford to buy all the stuff in your photos?
I only buy cheap cheap things, sometimes instead of food.

Will u b my penpal? Cuz like OMG, were sooo much alike!!!!!
No.

Hey, I can type like a normal person. Will you be my penpal then?
Afraid not, I don't like to write emails. But thanks for asking!

How did you dye your hair pink/rainbow/platinum blond?
You need to have blond hair to get the bright colours really bright. If you have very dark hair you probably need to bleach it several times. I use different kinds of bleach every time, and mostly Directions for the bright colours. I bleached my hair maybe ten times to get it platinum blonde, and yes, that does damage your hair quite a bit. Mine has started to fall of a few times when I have gone completely mental with the bleach, so it is not recommended if you want your hair to stay healthy.

How do you get your hair to stay teased? Mine just falls down after a while!
It's dead and has no free will so I can make it do whatever I want. It's like zombie hair, and I am its evil voodoo master.

Where do you buy your clothes/wigs?
Mostly second hand stores and fleamarkets, but also e-Bay, Tradera, KappAhl, Lindex and H&M. I pretty much only buy new clothes if they are on sale because I'm a cheap bastard. Most of my wigs are from eBay.

Can you give me some tips on drawing/my halloween costume/make-up/photography/cookie dough?
No! I am too busy poking my belly button! *poke*
